How to Assemble the Catapult Launcher

This is a very simple procedure. All you will need:
  1. One wooden stick (round or square) 4 3/4 inches long
  2. One quality rubber band 36 inches long
Begin by tightly tying together both ends of the large rubber band included in your kit by stretching the ends around your finger and looping them through. Next, take the rubber band circle you just made and double it over onto itself one time to create a double-stranded rubber band loop half as big as the single-stranded original. Then take out the wooden dowel and locate the groove at one end. Fasten the rubber band tightly to the wooden dowel at the point of the groove by stretching one end of the the rubber band around the dowel and gently pulling it through the loop at the other end. (This will trap the dowel securely in the center of the knot between the strands.) Make sure that the knot is tight so that the double-stranded rubber band loop will not break during a launch.
